| Description | The National Archives holds a significant collection of the personal and official papers of Robert and Pattie Menzies. These include records on the Port Kembla workers’ refusal to load scrap iron destined for Japan (1938), cables from Menzies to Arthur Fadden in 1941, Menzies’ statement on British atomic tests, personal correspondence with Frederick Sheddon concerning Menzies’ memoirs, papers on the Communist Party Dissolution Act, Cabinet Secretariat records on the Petrovs’ defection, as well as photographs and audio tapes.
