| Description | The National Archives’ collection includes correspondence between William Morris Hughes and Stanley Melbourne Bruce, documents on Hughes’ expulsion from the United Australia Party, and notebooks of the War Cabinet and the Advisory War Council (1939–46). The National Archives also holds some of Hughes’ personal papers, including correspondence from Douglas Mawson and records of the Attorney-General’s Department on the Waterside Workers Federation (1914–15).
